I was commissioned to design a dining table for a family of four. The challenge was to create a round table supported by a single central leg. Since it needed to be round, I decided to round every edge, ensuring the table is not only aesthetically cohesive but also functional, allowing easy and safe movement around it without sharp corners.

The production of the leg part was equally challenging. To achieve the precise curvature at the corners of the leg, a barrel-shaped structure with rounded edges was created first. It was then cut into four sections to extend the length as needed. Inside the legs, a metal structure was incorporated to hold the parts together and provide weight at the bottom, ensuring balance and stability. This internal metal framework not only reinforces the leg but also enhances the overall durability of the table, allowing it to evenly support the weight.
