There’s a moment of profound respect that washes over me when I step into a room, building, or a street. I’m often awed by the spatial experiences that cities offer. This project was born out of my desire to translate the elegance of architectural courtesy into a domestic setting. I’ve come to see the practice of architects as not far removed from the consideration of objects in spaces. My research extends beyond geography to behavior. I aimed to channel this research into the domestic sphere, with a focus on materials and historical context.

To begin, I selected a foundational element of architecture: marble, and incorporated essential architectural elements like the arch. This project serves as a bridge between architecture and the living room, creating an object that sparks the viewer’s imagination with metaphorical freedom.
